Yesterday

Yesterday was bad, with a few bright patches.

I had to go in to the office for training, the day after travelling back from London. Training was OK but the computer I was on played silly buggers in the second part and I couldn't do what I was trying to.

The very nice Chinese restaurant that did very nice lunches seems to have changed hands; no nice lunch menu any more, and the service was dreadful.

It rained (but hey, this is Manchester) so when I bought some clothes in Primark I had to put them in my rucksack because the paper carrier bag would have disintegrated.

I got some CDs and DVDs that I wanted and a book I needed.

The bus home was cancelled. I stood at the bus stop for over half an hour, then took a bus to the nearest point to home. By the time I reached the bus station, I had missed the bus that would take me home, with nearly an hour wait for the next one. I gave up and got a taxi, from a rank five minutes walk away. The journey home should have taken me half an hour; it took me an hour and a half.

Today, thank goodness, all I have to do to get to work is go up the stairs.
