French I'm absolutely fine with, the result of my parents sending me to the French school in London when I was 7 for four years. It's given me a headstart with other Romance languages, which I have to make a conscious effort to learn properly. On which subject, tonight I shall be going to our local pub, about 100 yards away, for a "pub Italian" session with my daughter and a friend of hers under the tuition of my oldest friend/next door neighbour.
