Also there's a trailer for the second half of the Doctor Who season on the BBC site, but when I click on Play nothing happens.

Five hours and counting - this looks serious indeed. All I get when I try to load anything LJ is an empty page - that's serious. Russian language service seems to be ok.

I am wondering now if it may be a DDOS attack - my browser can be set to try to automatically reload a page at regular intervals, and ever so often (once in a blue moon), it results in loading the page, but it is extremely intermittent.

I'm inclined to suspect you may be right. I'm now starting to wonder whether it's got any connection with the bomb and shootings.

I don't see that as particularly likely - the bombing and shootings were homegrown, and Livejournal is not big or wellknown here in Norway, AFAIK; people are all over Facebook and Twitter here.

I was thinking in terms of suggested links with European rightwing groups - it's not impossible that they might weigh in out of solidarity.

Second day of no LJ for me.

Worked fine for me on the 26th, but a friend of mine (also in Germany) couldn't use it consistently. Today (27th), it's been hit-and-miss again.
